WELCOME TO THE Internet site of the Platte River Whooping Crane Maintenance Trust, Inc. We are a non-profit organization - IRS Code 501(c)(3) - dedicated to conserving habitat for migratory birds on the Platte River in central Nebraska. The Trust protects, restores, and maintains habitat for migratory birds in the 80-mile Big Bend reach of the Platte (between Overton and Chapman). The Trust’s activities include acquiring and protecting habitat, maintaining and managing habitat, and conducting research about the habitat needs of migratory birds.
